The 4-star Dawat E Drung by FrozenFall Resort is nestled beside the picturesque Drung Waterfall, with the majestic Pir Panjal Range rising on one side and vibrant lupine blooms adding seasonal charm to the landscape. On the other hand, the quiet lanes of Tangmarg offer a peaceful retreat, while the meadows of Gulmarg and the renowned Gondola are just a short drive away. Inside, pinewood walls hold onto Kashmiri craftsmanship across cosy cabins, a canvas tent, and a standalone villa, each built for a different kind of stay, and every 4-legged member of the family is welcome to join in too. Every room carries the same warmth, king size beds dressed in soft linen, mountain views through wide windows, and just enough space to properly unwind.

Outside, our seating areas open up to forest and hill views, a good spot to sit back before or after a day of exploring, and a small gift shop on the property makes it easy to pick up a souvenir before you head home. Days here move at their own pace, whether that means tracing snow-dusted trails in winter or wandering green valleys in summer, and evenings bring you back to a table of Rogan Josh, Yakhni, and Dum Aloo, still warm from the kitchen. A particular kind of quiet settles in once the light fades over the mountains, one that only a resort built beside a waterfall can offer, and it tends to stay with you long after you leave Drung.

Heaven on Earth by the Falls

This felt like heaven on earth, with mountain views that never got old and staff who couldn't do enough for us. Our room was spotless and beautifully done up in traditional Kashmiri style.

Our room was squeaky clean, the bed had a heater, and hot water was never an issue. Unwinding by the bonfire near the stream at night was the highlight of our trip.

We stayed as a couple in the luxury tent and never once worried about privacy or safety. The staff were kind to us throughout our whole stay.
